Project ending & separation.

Once again, with a mix of happiness and sadness, it’s come to the end of another successful interior design project and once again it feels like a “break-up”.

Happiness, because the client and staff are happy!

Sadness because after weeks and weeks of sharing ideas, telephone conversations and even money matters, we now have to “break-up” as there is no longer a project to share.

Sure, “we will still be friends”, but it is a strange feeling when you have to move on to a new partnership and those daily conversations aren’t there anymore!

As designers we emotionally invest in our relationships with our clients, we come to understand our client, their business, their aspirations for their company and their beliefs.

Then, after a period of time, it’s a strange day when we have one more look at what we have created for them and then we turn around and walk away.

“There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.” ― Frank Herbert
